Abstract
Following two previous ASIC chips, a third FSC chip has been developed. being a perfect one chip servo controller which can perform: 1) fast processing for position. velocity and current servo loops; 2) high speed serial communication: 3) DA and AD conversion. The new design scheme referred to as “Silicon Compilation”. has been employed for designing the FSC chip as a full custom VLSI chip. Through this study the Silicon Compilation has been Identified as the Ideal Intelligent design system for designing advanced mechatronics systems such as servo controllers for actuators of robots and machine tools.
