Abstract

The physics program for the future International Linear Collider (ILC) requires excellent jet energy resolution, which is believed to be obtainable by using particle flow algorithms (PFA) together with a highly granular calorimeter system. In this context we report on our efforts to develop a particle flow algorithm that can demonstrate the required jet energy resolution and be used to optimize the design of an ILC detector. The effort involves development of clustering, photon finding, track cluster association and fraction identification algorithms. We will discuss the current status of the algorithms and our plans for the future.
