Abstract

This study introduces a novel method for preparing mesoporous magnetic cobalt ferrite nanoparticles (CoFe2O4) for magnetic hyperthermia and other applications. The synthesis of nanoparticles was carried out using the solvo thermal method assisted by Cetyltrimethylammonium Bromide. TEM results revealed a spherical and mesoporous shape, and according to the histogram, the average particle size distribution is uniform, with a diameter of 132 ± 21 nm. This study provides a new platform for the application of magnetic mesoporous nanoparticles in magnetic hyperthermia therapy. The methodology is relevant because it allows the formation of mesoporous structures.
