Abstract

ABSTRACTThe importance of ammonium nitrate (AN) in the production of explosive materials is similar to that in the agricultural industry. However, its use as in explosives has led to it being used for destructive purposes. Therefore, efforts are being made to develop the means to suppress the detonation potential of AN. In this study, AN is diluted with calcium carbonate and dolomite, which serves to increase its nutrient content and decrease its detonation enthalpy. Applying a coating of fluidized bed combustion ash can prevent its application in areas other than the agricultural industry.
