Abstract
Abstract A company's performance depends on its ability to maintain effective and efficient relationships with suppliers and customers, by quickly sharing and disseminating information. Therefore, the Extended Enterprise needs to be dynamically formed to be agile and adaptable. The current research intends to present a solution for the dynamic composition of the extended enterprise, formed to take advantage of market opportunities quickly and efficiently. An information model has been elaborated based on the Supply Chain Operations Reference (SCOR) model, with the ultimate purpose of negotiating participation of companies in the dynamic establishment of a network for responding to a given demand for developing and manufacturing products. A protocol model, inspired in Open System Interconnection, has been elaborated with reference to the information model. A process model has been implemented according to the Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN) standard, in the form of a web-based application. An application example related to the oil and gas industry is used for demonstrating the solution concept.
