Abstract

Overhead Transmission power lines (OTL) are the most extended and least reliable elements of the electric power system (EPS). Improving the accuracy of fault location (FL) methods on power lines is an urgent task. One of the means of increasing the accuracy of FL methods is the use of digital instrument transformers. The article is devoted to the development of FL methods for power lines with two-way power supply having a branch. The work is a continuation of the development and research in the field of FL based on digital instrument transformers, carried out at the Ivanovo State Power Engineering University (ISPEU). The results of evaluating the accuracy of the method on a network model in Matlab + Simulink are presented.
