Abstract

In this project, the development of a decentralized DAPP application has been carried out together with a prototype with low-cost sensors in an Internet of Things environment, both works together to store data in a Blockchain network, so that they are accessible, immutable, and secure, as well as being independent of a centralized system. In the first place, a study has been carried out on the different Blockchain technologies applicable to IoT environments and the different devices and IoT development boards, as well as the programming languages for the development of the backend and general Frontend of the DAPP and the prototype. Once the applicable technologies were chosen, we proceeded with the design of a user interface that would allow the data received by the IoT prototype to be displayed, as well as the development of a smart contract deployed on the Rinkeby Testnet for communication and interaction with the Blockchain network. Finally, the Hardware was developed in this case an ESP32 development card and a DHT11 temperature and humidity sensor together with the software that would be in charge of the data emission directly with the Blockchain. During the project tests, it was concluded that it worked perfectly, and the prototype with sensors and the DAPP software was taken into account for its deployment and thus meets the objectives proposed in this project.
