Abstract

The development of a fourth order Debye model for the dispersive human head tissues is presented. The model is optimized to fit the measured head tissues over the frequency range between 0.1 to 1 GHz. This frequency band has been increasingly utilized for the wireless power transfer (WPT) for battery-less implantable medical devices (IMDs) using inductive/capacitive coupling and far field radiation. The presented model shows more accurate fitting when compared with the conventional fourth order Cole-Cole model. Therefore, the model can serve as a proper candidate to mimic the dispersive tissues for accurate simulations of WPT and IMDs.
