Abstract

This paper describes five superconducting magnets built or under construction at CERN during the past five years. These magnets have all been designed as secondary beam trans-transport magnets for the CERN 28 GeV C −1 proton accelerator. The first two magnets, dc quadrupole magnets, has been successfully built and operated, the third, a dipole magnet, is awaiting tests, and the remaining two magnets are being built at present.
