Abstract

According to the geological characteristics of the banded reservoir, the development method of commingled production of multiple reservoirs by using horizontal well has been proposed, and its development effect has been analyzed and evaluated in this study. The specific idea is as follows: Firstly, according to the percolation theory and mathematical analysis method, the Green function corresponding to different directions of the reservoir is calculated; then the pressure distribution and productivity variation of a reservoir are obtained by Newmann product, Laplace transform and Duhamel convolution principle; finally, based on the result of the first two steps, the productivity equation of multilayer commingled production in horizontal wells is established, and through comparing with the production of vertical wells, the development effect of horizontal wells is evaluated. The study shows that developing multiple banded reservoirs commingly with horizontal well can reduce wells needed and drilling costs. In addition, the established productivity equation can be used to evaluate the productivity and development effect of horizontal wells and can be used to predict development indicators. Comparison with vertical wells shows that the development model of commingled production has strong applicability, in addition, the thickness and width of the reservoir have a great influence on the development effect of horizontal well. The development model can give full play of horizontal well advantages and increase single well production, which is of great significance for the efficient development of banded reservoirs.KeywordsBanded reservoirCommingled productionHorizontal wellProductivity equationDevelopment effect
