Abstract

Working on the basis of the brain hemisphere specialization sound signal processing, this research seeks to continue previous experiments on the duration of the audition time integration window, now determining the incidence of diverse acoustic field variables in the spatial impression perception, developing a subjetive preference scale by means of the comparative judgement law and then verifying the validity of the previously developed descriptor. Sound field variables are the types of reproduction, stereo and surround 5.0, the initial time delay gap (ITDG), RT60 (reverb time), the relation direct to reflected energy (D/R) and mainly the generated integration window at the listener, keeping constant the total sound level at 79 dBA.
