Abstract
The study is focused on the determination of 200 pesticide residues in brinjal samples by GC-MS/MS. The optimization was carried out by P-B and CCD employed with five variables. The samples were extracted by acetified acetonitrile and clean up was performed using d-SPE mixture containing 30 mg of MgSO4, 20 mg of PSA, and 10 mg of MWCNTs. It was validated as per SANTE/11312/2021 guidelines. The results were very satisfactory and the method presented recoveries between 70 % and 120 %, with RSD < 20 % for spiked levels at 10, 25, and 50 µg kg−1. The LODm and LOQm ranged from 0.1 to 15.0 µg kg−1 and 0.2–43.0 µg kg−1, respectively. Measurement of uncertainty were determined for each pesticide and each value showed < 10 %. Most of the analytes revealed the established LOQm were below the MRLs prescribed by the FSSAI, 2019 and EU, 2023. The developed and validated method is suitable for the analysis of 200 pesticide residues in brinjal samples and health risk assessment results suggest minimum significant risk among target consumers.
