Abstract
This study highlights the usage of graphene oxide for its prospective application in waste water treatment operations. Graphene oxide possesses a number of beneficial properties, including a high surface area, low cost of separation, and good selectivity. Because it possesses such qualities and properties, graphene oxide has the potential to be a candidate for the removal of multiple pollutants such as heavy metals, dyes, pesticides, phenolic compounds, and other similar substances from waste water. The research also sheds light on recent advancements in the use of graphene oxide in applications involving the adsorption of heavy metals. The mechanism that governs the adsorption of heavy metals onto the surface of graphene oxide is also described in length in this article. The article includes a discussion of the experimental particulars associated with the removal of heavy metals utilizing graphene oxide bed. The results of the experiment pointed to the possibility of using graphene oxide beds for the elimination of pollutants.
