Abstract

The state of the Russian market for technological ultrasonic (US) installations has been analyzed. For use in laboratory practice and in real industrial situations, a full set of US installations has been developed: 4 kW US generator (frequency range 22–27 kHz), up to 3 kW magnetostriction transducer (resonance frequency 24.5 kHz), and waveguide system having half-wave titanium sonotrode, rod half-wave radiator, and tube-type radiator that converts longitudinal vibrations into radial, and electrodynamic (moving-coil) displacement amplitude sensor. The operating efficiency of the built units of the technological US installation has been studied. Based on the obtained data, a versatile pilot plant for petroleum products desulfurization has been built and tested in US field. The obtained results have been realized in the form of algorithms of operation of automated hydraulic-type pressing equipment capable of realizing complex laws of forced pressing for producing large articles of complicated geometric shapes with a fixed density of the material, which help produce a wide range of high-quality articles having diverse technological characteristics.
