Abstract
20世纪50年代我国口腔医学教育体系基本上沿用前苏联模式,临床学科仅设口腔内科学、口腔外科学和口腔矫形学三大学科,与之相匹配的仅有三本教材.随着我国的改革开放,20世纪80年代初期开始派出一批学者赴欧美等发达国家学习进修,这些学者回国后带来了新概念、新思维.2000年人民卫生出版社召集会议,提出了学科分化的设想并付诸实践,牙体牙髓病学正式从口腔内科学中分离出来,同年8月启用“牙体牙髓病学”教材,该教材于2003年被列为普通高等教育“十五”国家级规划教材。
