Abstract
Supplementary feeding speed up the development of bees, especially in multiplications through the division of brood combs and foragers, in which the stock of feed within the box is inexistent. The objective of this study was to evaluate the formation, development and productive parameters of microcolonies of Melipona rufiventris fed different protein supplements. Two experiments were conducted. The formation and development of M. rufiventris microcolonies were evaluated in the first experiment. In the second experiment, the productive parameters were evaluated. There is no first experiment for protein supplement intake.
