Abstract

OBJECTIVE: Microfluidic sperm sorter (MFSS) is a simple chip device to select motile sperm for ART, in which sperms are selected by two gravity-driven laminar flows within the microfluidic channel. Conventional semen processing techniques such as density gradient and serial centrifugation can have potential adverse effects on sperm DNA integrity. A present report suggests that MFSS decrease sperm DNA fragmentation while significantly increased mean sperm motility compared to the unprocessed sample.
