Abstract

Rapid response pathways and programs were developed within existing outpatient care systems during the pandemic to offer brief service out of the fear of missing the acute care needs of children and youth. Our objectives are to present 3 rapid response intervention models, review the evidence-based treatment components of post–emergency department (ED) follow-up care interventions, and discuss how these programs map on to the evidence and how they might be improved.
