Abstract

Intestinal organoids are ex vivo organoid cultures derived from intestinal stem cells or progenitor cells. Intestinal organoids faithfully recapitulate the architectures and physiological functions of intestinal epithelium and provide a new tool to study intestinal health and disease. This paper reviews the recent advances in the study and application of intestinal organoids. Key words: Intestinal stem cell; Intestinal organoids
