Abstract

Objective To self-design a small metal instrument sorting device for dental department and solve the problems of complex process, being easy to cause damage and loss by using manual sorting metal small apparatus. Methods We designed a metal instrument sorting device through its magnetic adsorption function which could pick up dental metal equipment at once. Results The sorting device owned good clinical effects. Application of the technology optimized the workflow, reduced the risks of needle stick injury occupational exposure and the device damage and loss, and improved work efficiency. Conclusions The medical application of metal instrument sorting devices for dental department can improve nursing′ work efficiency and mitigate the risk of infection.
