Abstract
A sealed positron source that can sufficiently reduce the backscattered component was fabricated using an aqueous 22NaCl solution and a graphite backing material. The spin polarization of the emitted positrons was evaluated as 39%, which was 1.7 times higher than that of a commercial source with a heavy-metal backing material. This source increased the amplitude of the magnetic Doppler broadening spectrum for ferromagnetic iron.
