Abstract

Abstract Developing one's own personal style as a Gestalt therapist is a continuous, lifelong process. During our training, we tend to imitate our trainers or our personal psychotherapists and supervisors. Developing one's own personal style as a Gestalt therapist has a lot to do with nourishing one's own creative process, replenishing one's resources, and remaining open to surprises. The author discusses ways in which the mutual stimulation of theoretical concepts and interventions emerging from the therapeutic encounter have supported her in professional life. A contemporary model for Gestalt supervision is presented.
