Abstract
The introduction of statutory registration for four groups of dental care professionals (DCPs), means a major change for dental nurses and UK dentistry as a whole. The General Dental Council (GDC) has now begun the task of registering dental nurses, along with dental technicians, clinical dental technicians and orthodontic therapists.
