Abstract

AbstractThe article considers the main trends in the development of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, which will lead to changes in the workplace, business and human resource requirements. The aim of the article is to analyze global changes in the field of employment and job changes and to identify key skills that are in demand for the development of the Ukrainian economy. The study showed that Ukrainian companies do not have a clear vision of the needs of professionals and the necessary skills they must have. This is due to the fact that companies do not engage in strategic planning and do not develop scenarios for their business development. The heads of Ukrainian companies indicate the unwillingness of graduates to perform professional tasks in the workplace. There is a significant gap between the desired skills (on the part of employers) and the skills that young people have. Therefore, the paper substantiates the need to stimulate the integration of business and education, which will allow Ukraine to create new form of cooperation or to develop existing ones. These results can be used in universities, schools or other educational institutions and organizations to develop curricula as well as in business for the formation of training programs and adaptation of new employees.KeywordsFuture workplaceFuture skillsDrivers of change
