Abstract
Developing microcomputer-based protective relay must connect up to date IT technology with protective relay therapy. The developing of microcomputer-based protective relay is not only based on the advancing of protective relay theory and scheme, but also the rapid advancing of computer and electronic technology. Many information had introduced about the application of their achievement in hardware to the relay construction. In this paper we introduces our experience on using software engineering method in developing the protective relay. (5 pages)
