Developing Home Robotics Products: Challenges and Lessons Learned

Abstract

Developing practical and commercially successful home robotics applications has proven to be a bigger challenge than it may seem, both technologically and commercially. During the last seven years we have gone through several product development and introduction cycles on several different platforms, including robotic lawn mowers and vacuum cleaners. In this talk I will portray our experience so far, and highlight the main lessons learned.
