Abstract
How can critical thinking be developed in a small group Bible study? What are the pastoral implications for analysing deeply held beliefs? Using Alistair McKitterick’s Theological Imperative Model for Practical Theology, I reflect upon my personal experience leading a Bible study group to understand how I may better facilitate learning. Through critical correlation of this experience with theology and the social sciences, this reflection presents theologically-driven actions to transform Bible study practices within a small group context.
