Abstract

With medical advances greatly improving life expectancy, Adult Congenital Heart Disease (ACHD) patients have become a priority population requiring lifelong, specialised care. Guidelines specific to the Australian context suggest that a state-wide ACHD program should include a comprehensive ACHD centre that is supported by smaller, regional services [ [1] Celermajer D. Adult congenital heart disease (ACHD) recommendations for standards of care: The Cardiac Society of Australia and New Zealand. http://www.csanz.edu.au/wp-content/uploads/2013/11/ACHD-Guidelines.pdfDate: 2013 Google Scholar ]. It is unclear what are the best locations for these regional ACHD services in New South Wales (NSW).
