Abstract

The study proposes a baseline assessment model for a learning organisation. This model assists an organisation in determining whether it learns the right things at the right speed. The assessment model is developed by the applications of the Grounded Theory and the interviews with top executives from successful Knowledge-intensive Business Services or KIBS providers. They are often cited as a learning organisation. The model consists of four areas (i.e., top management, organisational functions, organisational culture, and expectation). To ensure the accuracy of the findings, the comparisons with similar frameworks reveal some compatibility of the proposed model.
