Abstract

In recent years, many studies indicate that the game-based learning can improve student's learning attitude and achievement, but it is necessary to combine an effective learning tool. The goal of this study is to develop a game-based learning system based on the two-tier diagnostic tool. By combining the two-tier diagnostic tool and an instant feedback mechanism, the proposed system can detect student's misconceptions in math during the learning process, and provide students the needed practice. This study investigates the influence of students' learning attitude and achievement after using the proposed game-based learning system in the math courses.
