Abstract

AbstractIn this chapter we study the well known Deutsch-Jozsa algorithm and relate it with the Walsh spectrum of a Boolean function. We first introduce the basics of Boolean functions and then proceed with the quantum algorithms that deal with them. Different scenarios are presented to show how the Walsh spectrum of a Boolean function evolves during the execution of the Deutsch-Jozsa and other related algorithms. Necessary implementations in the Qiskit SDK are also presented.KeywordsBoolean functionsBernstein-Vazirani algorithmDeutsch and Deutsch-Jozsa algorithmsWalsh transform
