Abstract
A quark potential model is used as a basis in order to calculate the deuteron electromagnetic form factors at low momentum transfer, by identifying a proton-neutron wave function. Relativistic corrections are estimated using a simple boosting prescription for the body form factors. Good agreement with experimental data is obtained in a calculation with no additional free parameters.
