Abstract

The elastic electromagnetic form factors of the deuteron are calculated in a relativized quark cluster model, with approximate constant quark density. Gluon, pion, and sigma quark interactions give strong interactions and meson exchange currents with no hadronic form factor parameters. The relative importance of meson exchange currents and quark interchange is studied.
