Abstract
The textual divergences between manuscript versions of individual Cantigas de Santa Maria shows that the exemplars used by the copyists of the individual manuscripts were themselves part of a chain of transmission in which errors and variants were introduced. For these poems we establish a stemma rotulorum or family tree of loose sheets. This has implications for the editing of the texts and the study of the compilation of the manuscripts.
