Abstract

A strategy for adjusting a distributed RC active lowpass filter to a specified frequency response is described. The RC product of the distributed network is measured after fabrication, and appropriate values for the length and position of the trim cut and the gain of the amplifier are calculated for the design values of ω0 and Q. A computer is used to perform the calculations, and the results may be used either as a design aid or in the deterministic trimming of filters.
