Abstract
This paper presents two fast convergence deterministic algorithms for spacecraft angular velocity estimation from single vector measurement. When the spacecraft is in high velocity state, the successive measurements of a single vector are taken as two different observation vectors and connected by the angular dynamic equations. Based on the pseudoinverse of the full column rank coefficient matrix, the optimal approximation solution of angular velocities is obtained. Simulation results show that the proposed algorithm can converge within a short time and the combined use of the algorithm and a simple α filter can improve the accuracy.
