Abstract
Abstract: The chapter begins by introducing unified viscoplastic constitutive equations for metals deforming at high temperature. Numerical methods for solving the equations are presented. Advanced optimisation methods and procedures, including the formulation of objective functions, for the determination of constitutive equations from experimental data are described. The chapter includes case studies of the determination of constitutive equations from experimental data for a number of materials deforming under different conditions. A summary is given at the end of the chapter.
