Abstract

To designing the water vapor phase change measuring Raman lidar system, we designed a new meteorological Raman lidar system that can measure a full spectrum of the ro-vibrational Raman signal for water vapor and the vibrational Raman signal for liquid water simultaneously. From this preliminary measurement of full Raman signals, we can determine the phase change sensitive Raman shifted wavelength. From our full spectrum of water Raman spectrum which is obtained from the real atmospheric conditions we can see 405 nm and 408 nm are the most sensitive wavelengths to determine water phase change when we using 355nm as a fundamental laser source. From these results, we can design simple Raman lidar system which is sensitive to the phase change of water vapor.
