Abstract
NIR spectroscopy is widely used in Quality Control laboratories in many industries. These laboratories require procedures to establish the number of significant figures and perform rounding of the results to be reported. This column discusses various approaches for reporting NIR results and the use of short term precision for rounding and reporting results.
