Abstract

In 1969-70, the author conducted an exploratory study of an individualized, self-paced, mastery-oriented course in arithmetic (Math 031) at Washtenaw Community College (WCC), Ann Arbor, Michigan (Dahlke, 1971). A portion of the study, which is the substance of this report, was devoted to determining the best predictors of student success and of time of completion or dropout.
