Abstract

AbstractA method for calculating the “safe” separation distance between pressurized LPG storage tanks and flammable liquid storage tank dikes is presented. The safe separation distance is defined as the minimum distance at which the radiant heat from a dike fire is insufficient to cause catastrophic tank failure, even if no cooling water is applied to the LPG tank.
