Abstract

In this study, we consider an inverse medium scattering problem in two-dimensional setting, which is motivated from a nondestructive method for testing optical fibers. We intend to reconstruct the index of refractive, so-called scattering potential from the measurement of near-field scattering data, assuming the potential is radially symmetric. We propose numerical algorithms to reconstruct the potentials based on Frechet derivative using Neumann series and demonstrate the performance of our proposed algorithms.
