Abstract
Two new methods are presented for computing the current distribution within curved, finite width conductors arranged around the circumference of a circular cylinder. The number of these conductors is allowed to be arbitrary. The width and the overall current flowing in each conductor is also allowed to be specified. Results for a test case are demonstrated and the current distribution for a radio-frequency probe used in magnetic resonance imaging is computed. The fields produced by the probe are also determined and compared with experiment.
