Determining and monitoring metrological characteristics of multichannel DAS

Abstract

Multichannel DAS such as, for example, the L-70 and IVK-12 are required in testing gas turbine engines, steam turbines for nuclear power stations, pumps for gas pipelines, and in other major branches of the economy. The number of measurement channels in such a DAS may exceed 5000. A method has been proposed involving a condensed algorithm for determining and monitoring meteorological characteristics (in channel-survey mode) to reduce the test effort and time. Here the authors describe a method that reduces the test time with only slight loss of reliability in the estimates of the meteorological characteristics. The methods is best used with DAS having more than 30 measurement channels of the same type.
