Determination of Y, Zr, Ba, La and Ce in granitic rocks using energy‐dispersive X‐ray fluorescence

Abstract

AbstractHigh atomic number trace elements in granitic rocks were determined using an EDXRF spectrometer. The K series x‐rays of these elements were excited using 59.6‐keV gamma rays from 241Am. Minimal sample preparation is required and quantitative determination was achieved using a single geological standard.
