Abstract
AbstractUnsaturation in cyclized rubber was estimated using phenyliododiochloride and the values obtained are in close agreement with the theoretical values predicated by Flory and Gordon. They are significantly different from those obtained by Van Veersen using hydrogen chloride, earlier described in the literature. This new method for determination unsaturation is simple and gives accurate results.
