Abstract
A method for proline determination is described. The procedure was especially adjusted to determine small amounts of this amino acid in biological material. The first step of the analysis is the isolation of pro-line from other compounds by column-paper chromatography, and then the color reaction with isatin is performed. An amount of proline beginning with 2 μg in the sample may be determined by this method.
