Abstract

A simple method has been developed for analysis of carbon dioxide in hydrogen chloride at the 5 to 100 ppm level. After enrichment by the headspace technique the CO2 was determined on a Porapak R column, with hydrogen carrier gas and a thermal conductivity detector. The detection limit was found to be about 5 ppm of carbon dioxide.
