Abstract

Equations for calculating thermal losses of gas–liquid separators into the ambient medium are given. Different operation modes of a gas separator are considered and calculated heat exchange coefficients and thermal losses are given, as exemplified by vapor cleaning from liquid drops at an engine fuel installation. The influence of insulating materials on thermal losses is demonstrated.
