Abstract

Wet and dry weights of iris, ciliary body and choroid of ox, calf, pig, rabbit, guinea pig and human eyes have been measured. The comparison of the percental weight distribution of the three tissues of the uveal tract shows considerable species differences. The increase in weight of iris, ciliary body and choroid of bovine eyes isstrongly correlated to the aging of the animal.
